Hello everyone! Since the lockdown started back in march 2020 I have bought a bunch of makeup products online and although I seemed to like most of the items I bought there were unfortunately some products I simply did not think were worth it. Today I want to share these disliked makeup products!

This is one of those products which has been raved about so much and I simply do not understand why. It’s technically a concealer but is also used to colour correct and contour. I purchased this product to use as a contour but was left with disappointment. First of all, I was not the biggest fan of the brush applicator which made it difficult to squeeze the product out and hardened over time. My main issue with this product was that it was super hard to blend, especially if you let it dry on your face for longer than 5 seconds. I definitely won’t be repurchasing this one again.

I purchased these matte lipsticks in the shades ‘stevie’ and ‘rosewood’ which ended up being quite similar shades with rosewood being slightly lighter. Although I liked their liquid lipsticks these ones were not as good. The issue that I had with these lipsticks was that it was not smooth to apply at all. They felt chalky and dry on the lip which was not what I was hoping for.

I really wanted to love this blush and had such high expectations as Glossier is one of those brands that fits so well with my own makeup preferences. Glossier aims to deliver products that reflect natural beauty which is exactly what stood out to me as I love minimal and natural makeup looks. However, I was left feeling disappointed in this product as you could hardly see it on my face. It does look pigmented when you dot it on your cheeks but once you start blending the product it quickly disappears. It could be that the shade (beam) itself just did not suit me so I am contemplating whether I should try a different shade as all their shades are absolutely stunning.

Another glossier product I did not enjoy using is their liquid highlighter. This one I definitely do not want to buy in any other shades as I did not like the quality at all. The liquid highlighter was super hard to blend and ended up looking streaky on the face. I was really excited to try liquid highlighters for the first time but this highlighter was not the best choice to start with.
Thank you for reading!
I had the same problem with the Glossier Cloud paint! I wanted to love it but it’s just meh and wasn’t worth the money. I’ve been trying to find similar blushes because I like the concept of the blush but I’ve been struggling.

Yes I agree! It just wasn’t pigmented enough unfortunately. I heard great things about the nars liquid blushes so those might be worth to try!

I’ve always wanted to try Glossier cloud paints but now I’m questioning it. I think a lot of makeup products are hyped up especially on Youtube.
I’m actually a minimalist and downsized my collection and now I’m very picky with what I choose to buy.
